About damn time- but just in time for Valentine’s Day.
That is so wonderful! Makes me want to move to OR. Domestic partnerships and Argyle Winery? Pure heaven.
YeeHaw!
congratulations
YEAAAAHHHHHH!! It’s about time, let it trickle down to all the states :=) Congrats
YAY!!!
wooooooo hoooooo!!!!!
I think the judge decided he didn’t want to get caught in the middle of a states’ rights fight which is what this was headed for. Either that or he figured out he was on Barbara’s bad side!
Either way…yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How wonderful for you! Now if we could only get the other states (yes, you - Illinois!) to wake up.
Kim
Terrific!
Congrats!
This is doubly-good news. New York made a landmark decision yesterday too -

Hey RSG, exactly what rights will DP in Oregon provide? Just curious.
I saw it on the news this morning and immediately thought of you guys. Fantastic!!
Inside the state of Oregon, DP’s provide the same rights as marriage.
“Provides that any privilege, immunity, right or benefit granted by law to individual who is or was married is granted to individual who is or was in domestic partnership. Provides that any responsibility imposed by law on individual who is or was married is imposed on individual who is or was in domestic partnership.
Provides that any privilege, immunity, right, benefit or responsibility granted or imposed by law to or on spouse with respect to child of either spouse is granted to or imposed on partner with respect to child of either partner.”
Obviously outside of the state is a different story.
Congratulations!
great news.
Congratulations. It is my dearest hope than someday such an announcement would be met with “Of Course. it’s the same in every state”.
OMG!! Congratulations!!!!
Thats great news.. Now.. Lets band together and get the Defense of Marraige Act repealed so we can have all the federal rights that go along with marraige as well…
Alright!
Saw the good news over on Maggie’s blog, Excavating, Engineers and Witches.
Best news I’ve heard all day!
Congratulations!!!!!!
That’s great, indeed. It’s a step in the right direction. But, just as it is in CT (where I live), it’s a separate but equal situation.
Let’s hope that you continue to push for marraige in your State (and elsewhere) (as we await our case here in CT to be decided soon with 6 couples suing the stated for discrimination as they were denied marraige licenses) and continue those peaceful demonstrations.
Congratulations!!! It’s been a long time coming.
[…] Edited to Add: Ok, I’m feeling like a complete ass for the gay comment. I love this song, it was the first song we danced to as a married couple. Aside from being a kick ass song, it has sentimental meaning. But what really has me feeling bad is that my comment came off completely disrespectful towards gay people. The only reason I used the word gay in a derogatory manner is I was poking at Limpy. Regrettably I once admitted to liking a Maroon 5 song and Limpy’s response to that was “Oh my gay god”. Anyone that knows me, or Limpy, knows that neither of us meant to offend anyone. Unfortunately, I forget that not everyone that comes here “knows” me. I have nothing against gay people. In fact, the absolute highlight of me weekend was Maggie telling me RSG’s good news! […]
Hot damn! Fabulous news!!!
Waving “hello” and congrats from Ashland, OR
