“The happiest days are when babies are born.”
Posted under Everyday ramble by Recovering Straight Girl–Miss Melanie Hamilton, Gone With The Wind
I had the ultimate pleasure of helping one of my favorite past doula clients bring their second son into the world yesterday; it was a fabulous and wonderful birth.
I am constantly amazed by the strength of a woman in labor and her ability to do something so profound and miraculous.
It is truly a beautiful reflection of the goddess that each woman is.

What a beautiful picture! I agree completely… childbirth is such a miracle.
That picture is amazing, I keep staring at it, and thinking about all the promise a new life holds.
I love baby toes!!
I’m so funny…I’ve passed out getting my ears pierced, and I had both of my kids with NO drugs…a 9lb baby and a 10lb baby
Us women are amazing!
Yes, childbirth is definitely a wonderful, beautiful, and miraculous experience, except is you are a full-blown, wussy little coward such as I.
*sticks out boo-boo lip*
I’m kinda scared of when June rolls around.
*looks at daughter playing*
*smiles*
But it is all worth it.
Great photo for this post!!! I could be subject to the miracle only once…but what a miracle she turned out to be! And you, RSG, are also a great miracle. You touch people in ways that are explainable AND unexplainable.
Bless you for being a miracle.
There is nothing in this world more nibble-worth than baby toes. I just love that picture.
I so love babies feet! Always have to tear off the socks to check them out.
Also love GWTW, one of my favorite movies ever. I have to agree with little sister- RSG you have been a blessing to me. Thank you.
Look at those pretty toes. Childbirth is a beautiful thing…And we are true Godesses…wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Awwww, congrats to them!
So so sweet!
I’m a dunce and got these two posts screwed up lol, I did leave you a question down there on the next post.
One of my co-workers delivered her son last Thursday as well. What a miraculous experience for women to part of.
That’s my son! RSG is the greatest doula ever, and I’m de-lurking to say so. I would have done so sooner, but nursing every two hours is about all I can manage right now.
There’s no way our baby’s birth would have been such a wonderful experience without RSG’s support and wisdom.
